EXPERIENCE THE ANCIENT ART OF INDIAN MASSAGE – CHAVUTTI THIRUMAL
….BY FOOT PRESS!
‘Hello. My name’s Wambui. I’ve been practicing and teaching Ashtanga yoga for eight years and learned the art of Chavutti Thirumal in India five years ago. I’m very excited to offer this deeply relaxing form of massage during Petri Räisänen’s workshop in Luleå. Here are some basic facts about this massage form, thanks to The Guardian:’
CHAVUTTI THIRUMAL : THE BASICS
Origins: a southern Indian system called Kalari that combines martial arts, dance and yoga, as well as siddha and ayurvedic medicine.
Beliefs: a healthy erect spine contributes to longevity.
Method: practitioners use feet, not hands, and a rope for balance using long, uninterrupted head-to-toe foot strokes.
Experience: body oil is applied prior to and during the treatment to aid in muscle relaxation
Results: it is preventive, rather than curative. Practitioners aim to break the vicious pattern of bad posture and stress that leads to illness.
Wambui tar emot tre stycken klienter 15-17/6 så passa på att boka redan nu.
